I'm pretty conflicted on this avoidance. On one hand, it's gorgeous and has a lot of fun gameplay, but on the other, there's so so so many issues that are really hard to overlook.
While the avoidance looks pretty, most of it only serves as visual challenge at the end of the day. The most egregious example is final, where not only is the attack itself pretty luck-based, but the white cherries will blend in perfectly with the white background, which basically makes them invisible. Also, with so many visuals effects going on at once, it's really hard to figure out what is suppose to kill you and what's just there for decoration at first.
Also, the beginning of the grind is absolutely miserable because of the slow animation that plays every time you start the avoidance. It's easy to ignore once you're far in, but when you're learning the beginning and need to die every few seconds, that few seconds of waiting at the start takes up a lot of time.
I also agree that targeted attacks were used WAY too much, and very unfairly so. They'll just come out of nowhere and kill you, and some of them are pretty hard to figure out how to dodge because of how out nowhere they are. There's also moments where you have to jump during transitions before you can even see your character, which just feels cheap. I'm fine with blind timing jumps in avoidances, but they need to be used on impactful notes or moments in the song to be satisfying.
Once you get to the end of the avoidance once, it's really easy to get back there again since most of this avoidance is pattern. But beware that final is poopbutt so you'll need some luck to actually clear. (I died to final about 4 or 5 times) Though once you get to this point, the avoidance becomes a lot more enjoyable to play.

The screenshot you see is the entire game. If you die 10 times you get an easy mode that nerfs the save. While this game is very clearly lacking, the ending makes it worth playing. The ending does not change depending on whether you do it on easy or normal.

This game has 4 avoidances, but the difficulty of each avoidance changes depending on the difficulty selection warp you choose at the start (Medium, Hard, Very Hard), meaning in total this game has 12 different avoidances (Impossible is the same as Very Hard just no save). I'm omitting a difficulty rating for this game since it's basically up to you.
I feel like I shouldn't have enjoyed this game as much as I did. Every avoidance has a billion instagibs in a row (with said instagibs mostly being just remember where to stand), and there is evil bouncing RNG transitions in some of the avoidances on Very Hard, but yet I found all the avoidances to be really fun to learn.
To briefly go over each one:
Haruhi - The shortest and easiest one. There's 0 RNG in this one so it's just pattern learning. The very last pattern with the aimed yellow can be tricky because you have to bait it in different ways depending on the difficulty.
Miku - This one is hard until you realize the green flower attacks are aimed, then the only hard part becomes the 2nd bouncing attack transition since the RNG can be pretty mean. Interestingly, the upside-down section is entirely the same across all 3 difficulties.
Rin - The Very Hard version is the hardest avoidance in this game in my opinion. The bouncing RNG at the start can be incredibly annoying and the aimed attacks at the end are actually decently hard and easy to mess up. Overall it's a really fun and creative avoidance though. The attacks match the lyrics with the cherries forming things like rain, flowers, seeds, etc to match the imagery of the song. Very cute stuff!
Chen - The longest avoidance in the game, and therefore the learniest. You unlock this one after you clear the other 3 avoidances. Not too difficult overall, just learny, and still pretty fun across all 3 difficulties. There's 2 RNG attacks that can sometimes be mean but they aren't as bad as the ones in Miku or Rin. The instagib at the very last second is incredibly mean, and the waiting at the start feels very unnecessary, but I enjoyed it still.
If you're not like me and only want to play on 1 difficulty instead of all 3, I recommend just choosing one depending on your skill level. Aka: Medium for beginner-novice players, Hard for novice-advanced, Very Hard for advanced+.

A collab game with 8 (technically 9) avoidances. It was part of some sort of event where people were put into teams and accumulated points together. I wasn't a part of it but it sounded like a good time. Also, even though this game is called Barrage Festival, a lot of the avoidances are very pattern heavy, so you wanna ignore that barrage tag mostly.
The game itself is presented really well, the song select screen looks very professional and has lots of features. You can adjust the volume/sfx, and there's options to make the audio sync up to the game if you experience lag (I recommend just turning this off because it more likely just causes the audio to glitch out even if you aren't lagging).
From easiest to hardest, here's a mini review on every avoidance:
== KHAMEN BREAK by 雪男18: [Difficulty: 2] [Rating: ?] ==
A joke 10 second avoidance where you just jump in the middle of the screen. Can barely even call it an avoidance since you're not even dodging anything.
== 幻想系世界修復少女 by snow: [Difficulty: 35] [Rating: 6] ==
A very chill and very easy avoidance that's mostly pattern. Patterns are pretty instagibby and there's lots of downtime in the avoidance, especially at the start. It's okay but it is one of the many examples of "easy avoidances are boring" that many people say.
== しぼう by たつぬ: [Difficulty: 40] [Rating: 7] ==
Another easy one that's also quite enjoyable. The song starts off slow and then suddenly gets super chaotic in the 2nd half, as do the attacks themselves. The 2nd half is definitely a difficulty spike compared to the first half, but it makes sense it is like this because of the song.
== ハートの主張 by マリマリオ [Difficulty: 55] [Rating: 7] ==
It's good. 1st half of the avoidance is a good amount of pattern learning, while the 2nd half is mostly barrage and is therefore flukable (though highly unlikely since the source of attacks are hard to predict). There is however 1 attack halfway through with falling hearts that can wall you a lot, but everything else is good.
== 爆なな☆てすとロイヤー by たつぬ [Difficulty: 60] [Rating: 9] ==
A classic tatsunu avoidance with over-the-top visuals. The avoidance itself is really fun and the song is pretty funny, with some visuals matching the lyrics. Some of the RNG can be really unbalanced, but you have dot hitbox at least. Wouldn't recommend if you have epilepsy though since the flashing visuals get REALLY intense, but otherwise this is probably the best avoidance in the game.
== 螺旋飛行 by てお [Difficulty: 60] [Rating: 7.5] ==
I liked this one a lot actually, though there are definitely a good amount of funny RNG moments and it's also quite long compared to most of the other avoidances. There's 1 pattern near the beginning where you have to time a gate jump (at least with my strat), but everything else is essentially barrage reading/readable patterns.
== ヒビカセ by マリマリオ [Difficulty: 62] [Rating: 8] ==
Really fun with good visuals that change a lot, while not being too overly flashy. Most of it is pattern but there's a good amount of RNG in it too. I do have 2 major issues with it though: First is the RNG burst of small orange cherries before the 9 platform layout section. This attack is pretty hard to react to and the cherries are really hard to see sometimes. 2nd is the fact that the game can crash at the very end due to a surface error. Other than that though, it's a very enjoyable avoidance.
== Evanescent by snow [Difficulty: 65] [Rating: 6.5] ==
This one is okay. The attack at the start with the stopping red/blue bullets is probably the hardest attack in the entire game. It's a completely fair attack and you have dot hitbox for this avoidance, but it lasts a good while and therefore forces you to read it well to get through it. There is also 1 unfair attack in the middle when you're on the single platform where you have to be in the middle of the screen but some RNG can get in the way. The entire ending is pattern though so as long as you know what to do, you can fluke this avoidance, but otherwise you'll mostly be spending time at the start.
== Doppelganger by 雪男18 [Difficulty: 75] [Rating: 1] ==
I recommend every avoidance in this game EXCEPT for this one. The design on this one is so backwards I'm constantly left just scratching my head asking "Why was it made like this?" Basically, every time there are insane visual-challenge effects where you can't see anything at all, there is also super awful luck-based RNG. Meanwhile, all the pattern parts have no visual-challenge. There's also 10 seconds of literal waiting part way through the avoidance because ???? Also for reference, I spent over 20 hours on this avoidance alone while the other 7/8 took me only 10 hours combined (even less technically since I had to reclear a couple of them too). Honestly, I would rate the enjoyment I got from this avoidance a 0, but I least respect there was effort put into it, even though I can't forgive the actual design of it all so that's why it gets a 1. This avoidance being incredibly luck-based means you CAN just fluke it and beat it quickly, but if that doesn't happen I would just pretend this one doesn't exist.
In conclusion: really good! Just don't play Doppelganger.
