If while running this game on a non gaming PC you get a D3DXCompile error at the main menu it means that you don't have DirectX properly installed causing the shaders to be unable to compile. Please install the appropriate version of DirectX for your machine and try again.

Really well-made needle/gimmick fangame, with some really creative gimmicks. The catch here is that the gimmicks introduced in each stage can either help you or ruin your attempt (Except for Stage 3, whose 'gimmick' consists of moving sawblades that just kill you anyway, and the last stage, which doesn't feature any new gimmick), depending on the situation, so you need to carefully analyze the screen to see where is the gimmick's effect necessary and where would it just ruin your attempt (Hence the name 'Dangerous Toys', I guess, since these gimmicks are helpful, but can do more harm than good in some situations). The gimmicks from the previous stages also make cameos on the later stages to make more complex puzzles. Nice visuals, nice musics, somewhat annoying death sound.
It's an exemplary fangame, for sure. Its gimmicks are a nice display of creativity and each save is designed in order to make the most use of them. Would definitely recommend.

I appreciate the amount of effort put into this game and especially its visuals, however the gameplay really ruined it for me. The gimmicks themselves are (mostly) fine and some of them were actually pretty cool ideas (such as the colored warps) and the game used them in very creative ways. My greatest issue with this game was by far the needle jumps themselves. Most of them felt really akward and you can spend a good minute clearing a save just to realize you needed to shoot something way earlier. Overall this is a good game but the platforming is really annoying at times.

The gimmicks are nice, but they don't feel implemented in the best of ways.
Some of the early puzzling screens felt a bit confusing on how to solve in oder to continue.
Perhaps it's just me not quite getting the fact that there were gimmicks in the first screen.
