Gotta be honest that I felt the title was very misleading. XXX is not what you think (at least from what I have been able to discern.)

This is a pretty fun trap game. Might require a little more patience than I have at the moment, but it is definitely entertaining.

I might update this review as I progress, but I'll at least give my initial thoughts.

It's made in Unity, and C is the jump button instead of Z. Already, unconventional controls, but not bad.

Merely holding the X button shoots, as opposed to pressing it. I'm actually a fan of this.

The physics take some getting used to, but this is obviously a very ambitious project and seems to be heavily inspired by Boshy. I'm most of the way through the tutorial level right now, but the effort looks promising.

[UPDATE] Obviously the game wasn't tested a whole lot, because I managed to save in a spot where I'm essentially softlocked. It's the first appearance of those red glob monsters.

For: No Boss, No Avoidance, Only Platforming
The difficulty was woefully underrated.

Game lives up to its name, but the needle requires enough alignment precision in midair that I feel a "novice" rating is underselling it.

The camera movement lags behind the player, which can take some getting used to, and the music leaves a lot to be desired. The visuals seem decent, though, albeit in a sort of chaos dimension sort of way.

I might update this review as I progress.

I have to admit that when I saw the Unity tag, I was a bit worried about the quality I might encounter. But this game quickly quells any fears of being mediocre. The soundtrack slaps. The control is fluid. The visuals are amazing. I am genuinely impressed.

[EDIT] I can't beat the duck boss. If there is a way, I can't see it.

For: Boshy Strikes Back
I decided to try this game out. I would have rated it higher, but the wonky controls just take away from what would otherwise be a decent and more tolerable emulation of Boshy. The double jump refreshers especially are nigh impossible to navigate, because as long as you are holding the jump key, collecting one will automatically make you jump again, even if you don't want to. Some of the triggers require advanced precision due to tight gaps and/or blazing speed.

I wouldn't call it bad, though.
