I only properly rate games I truly enjoyed. If I didn't enjoy it, then it simply wasn't for me, and I don't want to prevent someone else from playing something they would otherwise love because of my words.

I took down all of the creator reviews of games I released before Chatran because I no longer wish to be intimately associated with them. Please don't ask me about them anymore; feel free to use any of them in a medley or whatnot, but I do not wish to know that you're using them.
You can download all of them outside of collabs here:

Don't be like infern0! Keeping track of clears is a mistake and I wish to spread this word! Play fangames to play fangames, not to cite a statistic!
Don't be like infern0! Normalize realizing your boundaries and don't commit to something if you aren't feeling it. Don't give in to the sunk cost fallacy! Approach fangames with a healthy mindset and it will reward you!
Don't be like infern0! Be understanding and receptive to the art the great people in the community can produce!

I do want to start by saying the treatment this game has gotten overall is unfair. I know all too well how it feels for a game with soul put into it to be completely ignored. I went into this with the purpose of giving it a fair shot because I felt it deserved it, and despite many of my issues I will list in this review, I am glad I tried it and gave it some form of attention.
I find this game to be extremely inaccessible. A major portion of that lies in some of its unforgiving difficulty, which primarily lies on multi-screen and / or trigger-dense segments; and this is just the way it is. Clearly to me difficulty is no longer an aspect in fangames I find appealing, and such is life.
But in other ways I find this game inaccessible, mainly in the way the game presents itself. I'll personally draw the line at difficulty, but I personally will not accept the same merit when a game alienates an entire population as a form of artistic vision. I won't pull any punches, I find the fact that this game visually obscures the platforming to blindness to be egregious.
I don't want to *not* recommend this game, because even though I listed nothing but complaints, I find there's a lot of gold here. I genuinely had a lot of fun for a decent chunk of the game's runtime, and I think that amounts to something. I just inherently disagree with much of how this game simply exists, and I feel the need to vent in some space regarding that. Please forgive me for doing so.
For: I wanna realize
A work of soul presented in a much more approachable manner than most other works that have released recently. Extremely creative design ideas and platforming that knows what its own limits make for a very satisfying journey. Aesthetically beautiful (if a bit hard to look at at times, admittedly), and a great sonic palette to jam out to along side it. And above all you are valid; thank you for making this.
It's great to know that needle can still be fun for me. It really is.

Truly the best part of this game is, when doing a standard "Happy End" playthrough, it's a completely innocuous adventure game until you do the epic Needle segment and you get hit with NWA.
It's perhaps a bit learny here and there, but I never felt like it overstayed its welcome, and the actual difficulty of execution is low enough that I feel a decent amount of relatively new players could enjoy it. Highly recommended!
Also, a tip: if you're having issues with the game's sound system, I recommend the following:
- On the download here, Eruna links to an alternate version with SSound; you'll want to download both, but place the SSound version in the folder with the normal version and play that
- You can also drag the volume bars on the title screen; you have to drag them pretty high up for the game to be audible at all. This one confused me for a tiny bit as well..
