For: How I See World In Desaturated Colors
Update: I'm realising I didn't really talk about the *contents* of the game itself, rather talking about my experience, which was great ofc, but the game is just in general really high quality, it's a darker atmosphere than most needle games in this difficulty range, and the visuals consist of well, desaturated places, with enough variance in the design that it's not repetitive or anything, I really enjoyed these environments, good ambience and music aswell that helped add to the atmosphere. I'll now talk about the story, i see a good few people labelling it edgy and so on, and i guess i can't deny it falls into that category, but, it's really good, i do quite like the ending, quite a lot actually, i think it's done super well, yes, including the music cut-off and the semi-loud jumpscare (ending spoilers) but you can see how the story affects the world around it. Also the gameplay is really nice, it introduces some casual good gimmicks that aren't too heavily complicated or confusing and don't take up the entirety of the gameplay either, it's a good balance.
Also I actually think the gimmick that is stated explicitly in the README.txt file That you should read before playing the game is good. I completely understand not liking the game as much because of such, but, I've seen atleast 2 reviews on here saying that it is completely not mentioned or warned about, which is just wrong. And i think it adds to the game personally, it makes the game feel more personal and not persay replicatable, and well, it also ties into the story in a great way, but i'd get not finding the game as fun as a result, but i think it's actually innovative and cool imo..
Overall, hard recommend, read the file called readme though, but it's not a bad gimmick or anything, and, it's a great game and i truely love it, amazing experience going through this in the dead of night in complete darkness :)

Then again, everyone else seems to have enjoyed this so maybe don't take this review with a considerable amount of realism to it, but I really didn't enjoy playing this, I took 16 minutes ingame to clear and i think ¬70% of that time was on 2 or 3 screens specifically, I found it incredibly unbalanced and the harder saves to be really unfun.
on the contrary, those easier saves are quite good gameplay, and are pretty enjoyable, so i'd still probably recommend this just maybe not if this isn't considerably below your skill level
For: Not Another Needle Game
I do think it's an amazing game overall, it's incredibly high quality and has so much charm to it, I also think all the positives have already been well-stated by other reviewers, but it is a great amount of fun with so many good gimmicks that have been well used and is very funny aswell.
my only real complaint is that there is no pause menu, at first admittedly i was hesitant on pressing esc incase i had to re-launch the whole game again, and this might be schizophrenia, but i swear, when i was perfectly safe sometimes i would be afk and die when not looking at the screen after a while... maybe this game is just haunted though (this didn't change my rating given ofc dont worry)
otherwise, i did think screens 170-180 were too difficult or just inconsistent, i found room 180 to be possibly the easiest aswell other than the last jump before the 2nd save, and many of the other rooms were somewhat demotivating to play due to having very quick inputs back to back, atleast i found it that my keyboard did not want to co-operate sometimes, and in general i think they are such a difficulty spike, the rest of the game is like ~40-50 diff needle gameplay if you have a base understanding of each gimmick, and then i found those 10 rooms to be ~60 diff, i also think it's a big of a weird state for new players, because i could see those 10 rooms to be incredibly infuriating for players who would have to spend a considerable amount of time on them, but overall, i didn't find it too be much of an issue, certainly not enough to lower the rating much, and i'd still recommend it.
overall, game is amazing, love it, would highly recommend, will be going for the 100% clear soon after i finish some other things aswell!
For: Conforming Needle
this game is really good actually, caught my attention randomly when going through delfruit and thought i'd give it a try and it turned out to be one of my favourite ftfa-like screens that i've played, and possibly my favourite for it's difficulty behind actual ftfa screens.
(almost) all the jumps in this have good visual cues, intuitive, good setups, and overall become very consistent, especially for a 32px needle game this is really impressive, the first 3 and last 2 jumps were personally my favourite, i did find the jump with a plane to be a bit iffy on quality, specifically the visual setup for the jump, but i don't even really think its *bad* just less great than the others. I should also mention that i took ~4h to clear, and, for ~3h 20m of that playtime i took the *wrong align* for that jump, and made it incomparably harder than it actually is, and struggled with it so so badly and got very mad at it when it was completely my fault :sob: < this also makes me unsure on the game's difficulty, because after finding out to not take that align i was able to get to the last 2 jumps every ~5-8 minutes or so, since every other jump is really well-designed and consistent.
I'm also mentioning that this game has backspace for valign and a really nice practice mode which just help add to the quality of it, overall it's just well made and a really good screen of difficult needle, and it's always a really good sight to see, the only real reason i'm not giving this a higher rating even though it's some of my favourite jumps & overall screen is because it's so short, it would be amazing to see more screens similar to this and it has a whole lot of potential imo.
Save 1: 6139 Deaths, Time: 02:33:44 (Intended)
Save 2: 3103 Deaths, Time: 01:11:11 (Practice) (i'm not lying about that number that's crazy)
+ ~20 min from remaking the screen in maker
12 deaths to the 2nd last jump, 5 deaths to the last jump

New Review & Rating:
Rating Per Screen.
Screen 1: ~9.8, 70
Screen 2: ~10, 67
Screen 3: ~9.7, 75
Overall for First 3 Screens: 10, 78.
Screen 4 Rating:
0.25, 85.
Screen 4 is the worst singular needle screen i have Ever played.
Screen 4 does not get consistent. I have done s1, 2, 3 all 2 times in a row. I have not even been able to reclear screen 4 Once. I'm aware it has gotten consistent for some people, but you should never expect it to be the same for you. I did, and was disappointed when i found out that i will never be. I Would not recommend clearing this game. Just exit out at screen 4. Fuck screen 4.
Overall game rating (as of now):
3, 82
If you learn numpad and other things S1,2,3 are not too difficult. If s4 wasn't so ... I would give this game not even a 80 rating.
Old review:
Well. I really do love the first 2 screens, It is some of my favourite needle gameplay I have ever played and it got incredibly consistent incredibly quick, the third screen i kinda ... struggled with a lot, getting 39 last jump deaths, but I do think that is quite likely my fault, atleast definitely 10+ of them were on me. But if the 3rd screen does not have that issue for other players, it is also amazing and other than the last jump it is also very consistent and fun :)
And then there is the 4th screen. No. It's abhorrent. I would love to give this a higher rating in quality but with good faith I just can't, it burns even more that the game is such a masterpiece in my eyes only to be pulled down in quality so badly with the single worst screen I have ever had the pure misfortune of playing, it is vastly different in design to all the prior screens, having little setups and the jumps are painful and inconsistent to play, I have heard from deathless players that S4 does get consistent, but i'd imagine only a long while *after* you clear it for the first time. All the water jumps are horrible, and the screen delves completely away from the gameplay it builds upon the first 3 screens. I also think it is by far the hardest screen, taking me ~5h or so to clear, while the first 2 screens only took ~3h in total, and the 3rd being ~3.5h.
It's worth mentioning i did this as a hardest clear, I also do not recommend this because it makes the 4th screen also more painful and you will spend longer amounts of time on it compared to if you improve and do this at a later time. That is why my difficulty rating is also not great, I will update it later though.
In conclusion, if you are going to try to clear this, i'd highly recommend booking a therapist appointment in advance because you will most likely need it after playing the 4th screen.
